Building Graphics and Statics
Earners of the Building Graphics and Statics Microcredential will demonstrate an understanding of construction graphics and statics. Credits earned in this microcredential are applicable toward the Architectural Engineering Technology and Construction Management Engineering Technology degree programs. In addition, the Building Graphics and Statics Microcredential will be of interest to those planning a career in architecture or construction management.
Admission requirements for application:
- Matriculation into a Farmingdale State College degree program
- Freshmen: 85% GPA (minimum) and Algebra II or Precalculus with a 70 or higher
- Transfers: 2.5 GPA (minimum) and C or better in College Algebra
- Pre-requisite: A Math Placement score of 3 or MTH 116 (or the equivalent) is required for MTH129.
- Completion of the Microcredential Application on Etrieve
For Non-matriculated students:
- Completion of the non-matriculated student application
- Completion of the Microcredential Application on Etrieve (Instructions will be emailed after completing the non-matriculated student application)
Requirements to earn the microcredential:
- In order to earn the Building Graphics and Statics microcredential students complete 4 courses: MTH 129, CON 106, ARC 111, and ARC 121 (ARC 131 may replace ARC 111 and 121). This microcredential requires a minimum grade of C in each of the courses.
