Safety
Farmingdale State College is committed to providing a safe and secure working environment for all of our employees. The University Police Department operates 24/7/365 with a staff who are professionally trained as New York State certified Police Officers, responsible for patrolling the 380-acre campus, enforcing all New York State laws as well as campus rules and regulations. They are the first responders for all emergencies on campus.
University Police Officers patrol the campus by vehicle, foot or bicycle at all times. This includes the department's primary jurisdiction consisting of all property owned and/or controlled by the college as well as adjacent and adjoining roadways.
