The Farmingdale State College Food Pantry is open! We are thankful for the support provided by SUNY, Island Harvest and Auxiliary Services Corporation.
We are expanding services available to all current campus community members, with weekly availability and a brand-new refrigerator to hold fresh food. The food pantry offers healthy food selections to all students, faculty, and staff with a valid FSC ID card. It is a judgment-free place for FSC community members in need of assistance.
If a Farmingdale State College Community member needs more long-term assistance, see the list of local resources below.
All personal information regarding the food recipients will be kept confidential.

Understanding Food Insecurity
What is food insecurity? Food insecurity is a lack of consistent access to enough food for an active, healthy life. It is important to note that though hunger and food insecurity are closely related, they are two distinct concepts. Hunger refers to a personal, physical sensation of discomfort, while food insecurity refers to a lack of available financial resources for food at the household level. - Feeding America
