Areas of Research and Teaching Expertise:
Design, synthesis, and characterization of new functional materials, including superconducting, magnetic, thermoelectric, and structural materials; Hund's and Mott physics in strongly correlated systems and magnetic insulators; Relationships between crystal/magnetic structure and functional properties;  Elastic and inelastic neutron and x-ray scattering; Growth of high quality single crystals; Mentorship of students to succeed in research and technology careers.
